Are the courses free?
Yes. All training and services provided by CHIETA Smart Skills Centres are free of charge.

What are the centre's working hours?
All centres are open: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00.
Can I use the computers without enrolling in a course?
Yes. Computer and internet access are available to community members for job seeking and application purposes, subject to availability.
What should I bring when visiting the centre?
Bring a valid ID or student card, and if applying for a bursary or job, have your CV and necessary documents ready.
Are the courses accredited?
Yes. NEMISA courses are usually accredited with MICT SETA, and CISCO courses are internationally recognized. You can ask your Smart Skills Centre for details about each course.
Do I need prior computer skills to join?
No. Our courses cater to all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Staff and facilitators will guide you through the learning process.
Can I get a certificate after completing a course?
Yes. Certificates are provided upon successful completion of each course. The type of certificate depends on the training provider (e.g., NEMISA, CISCO).
Is there an age limit to join the courses?
No. Courses are open to all ages, though some programmes may have a minimum recommended age for understanding the material.
Do the centres provide support for people with disabilities?

Yes. You can book a smart boardroom for meetings or training through our online booking form or at the centre.
What do I need to bring when I visit?
Come as you are — you don't need to bring anything.
How long do the courses take?
The courses are self-paced. This means you can learn at your own speed, depending on your availability and commitment.
